The Halki Summit was an international conference around environment, ethics and innovation issues facing the world today. Co-sponsored by The Ecumenical Patriarchate and Southern New Hampshire University, the conference tackled issues related to biodiversity and conservation, energy and climate change, and economy and innovation, and featured keynote talks from speakers such as Dr. Jane Goodall, environmentalist Bill McKibben and Gary Hirshberg, chairman and former president and CEO of Stonyfield Farm.
In support of the conference, and in conjunction with The Ecumenical Patriarchate, SNHU designed and launched HalkiSummit.org, an interactive website aimed at bringing the physical event to the broader digital world. Site visitors were able to preview speakers and talks, submit questions for consideration, engage in broader dialogue on key issues across a variety of social channels, and watch videos of each of the event’s sessions.
