A pillar of SNHU’s social media strategy is the concept of incentivized social sharing. Designed around key student success milestones, the university works to ensure students are provided a digital incentive to share their success with both their peers and their personal network. A key example of this was the 2013 socialization of Dean’s List. Taking a traditional mail announcement, the university shifted to distribute the announcement via email, leading each student to a customized web page celebrating their individual achievement and providing key calls to action for sharing socially.
