UCLA Adaptive Sports

In partnership with the U.S. Army’s community-based Warrior Transition Unit, UCLA opens its doors to provide injured soldiers an opportunity to participate in adaptive athletic activities. From wheelchair basketball to rock climbing servicemen and women are coached and supported by UCLA staff as they explore new ways to stay active as they recover from injuries sustained during their service.

In 2009, we produced a video around the partnership, which brought to life the soldiers’ stories and their experience. Thanks to a comprehensive PR strategy, the video landed on the front page of YouTube.com on Veterans Day, garnering over 100,000 views, hundreds of comments, and over 25 YouTube Honors.
